Well hello! My name is Julie, and I am The Newborn Artist. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my website! I invite you to read a little bit more about me and my heart for capturing birth & newborns, learn about my studio and the mission behind The Newborn Artist.

Some fun facts about me…

  • I have two incredibly creative and innovative children, who are both home schooled. I believe children should be encouraged to discover & learn what they love early on so that way they can spread their wings and be amazing humans.

  • I sing. A lot. I can guarantee you will be serenaded by me at some point in time during a session or a consult.

  • I am obsessed with fancy espresso. HATE drip coffee… but give me a simple lactose free vanilla latte, and you’ll be my BFF. Forever.

  • I talk A LOT. I don’t know if that’s a fun fact about me, but why not share it? Thankfully with age, I’ve learned when to talk and when to keep quiet.

  • I dig lipstick. Never liked lipstick still I was in my 30’s, but holy cow… give me some Miss Conduct by Smashbox or Fiery by Stila and I’ll be your friend forever. Red. DARK. PINKS. YAS.

  • I am the Co-Owner of a Doula Agency called The Birth Society. So I'm also a doula!

  • I am a HHP (holistic healthcare practitioner), MA (Master Clinical Aromatherapist), Pediatric CST (Craniosacral Therapist) and carry an MBA from University of Maryland. I believe you always need to be growing and moving forward in life.

  • I am a Breastfeeding Coach (12 years and counting!). Do I have the best jobs in the world, or what???

Authenticity is so important in today’s fast paced life. Which is one of the reasons why I find capturing birth and newborn babies so appealing.
Birth is so raw. Newborns are so fresh. Mama’s are incredibly stunning… and I love capturing it all.

Capturing it all, in it’s perfect imperfections.

Capturing God’s beauty in life.

I hope you have gotten a glimpse into who I am, who I strive to be. And if you want to see how I am ALL THE TIME… watch my outtakes video below.
